A Christian Biblical Perspective on the Importance of Appreciating Women

A friend of mine recently made a post that really hit me in a good way. But also, yes, women are often overlooked in ways that make them special and unique. In a world where most people don't even define what a woman is correctly, we have to feel on a daily basis that we are losing even more of our special identity as women. As a mother to two girls, I worry about the type of world they will grow up in. But I know that the best thing I can do is show them, tell them, and teach them.

In the Bible, women are often portrayed as being strong, capable, and selfless. They are the ones who build homes, raise children, and provide for their families. They are also the ones who are often the first to offer love, support, and encouragement.

One of the most famous examples of a woman in the Bible is Sarah. Sarah was the wife of Abraham, and she was a woman of great faith. She was willing to leave her home and family to follow God's call. She also bore Abraham a son, Isaac, even though she was past the age of childbearing.

Another example of a woman in the Bible is Ruth. Ruth was a Moabite woman who married an Israelite man, Boaz. After her husband died, Ruth refused to leave Boaz and his family. She worked hard to provide for them, and she eventually became Boaz's wife.

These are just two examples of the many women in the Bible who were strong, capable, and selfless. They are an inspiration to us all, and they remind us of the importance of appreciating women.

The Bible also has many verses that speak to the importance of appreciating women. For example, in Proverbs 31:10-31, we read about the qualities of an excellent wife. This passage says that a good wife is worth more than rubies, and that she is a helpmeet to her husband. She is also a wise and capable woman who is able to manage her household and raise her children.

Another verse that speaks to the importance of appreciating women is Ephesians 5:25-33. This passage tells husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. This means that husbands should be willing to sacrifice for their wives, just as Christ sacrificed for the church. They should also love their wives unconditionally, just as Christ loves the church.

Appreciating women is not always easy. It requires us to be selfless and to put the needs of others before our own. However, it is a worthwhile endeavor, because it allows us to show our love and appreciation for the women in our lives.

Here are some specific ways to appreciate women:

  • Tell them how much you appreciate them. Let them know how much you value their contributions to your life and to the world.

  • Help them out with household chores or childcare. Take some of the burden off of them so that they can have some time for themselves.

  • Give them gifts that they will appreciate. This could be something as simple as flowers or a card, or it could be something more substantial, such as a piece of jewelry or a weekend getaway.

  • Spend time with them and listen to them. Show them that you care about them and that you are interested in what they have to say.

  • Be there for them when they need you. Be a shoulder to cry on, a sounding board, or a helping hand.

Appreciating women is a simple way to show our love and respect for them. It is also a way to show our gratitude for all that they do for us. So let's all make an effort to appreciate the women in our lives, and let's show them how much we care.

Here a reference to that post (I do not know the original author- A Woman : Referring to the post my friend made a few weeks ago still has me thinking

● changes her name.

● changes her home.

● leaves her family.

● moves in with you.

● builds a home with you.

● gets pregnant and the pregnancy changes her body.

● she gains weight

● almost gives up in the labor room due to the unbearable pain of childbirth..

● even the kids she delivers bear your name.. ———————————————————

Til the day she dies..

everything she does... cooking, cleaning the house, raising the children, earning money, advising you, maintaining all family relations, things that often benefit you…sometimes at the cost of her own health, hobbies, and beauty.

Dear men, appreciate the women in your lives always, because it is not easy to be a woman.

More than anything , love them, cherish them and be there for them, whatever they need-

Like they’re always there for you
